Agreement and the Service
These Terms are an agreement between you and [Operator legal name not configured], [Operator postal address not configured]. By creating an account or using WorldRacer, you accept these Terms, the Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, Safety Rules, and applicable App Store terms. You must be at least 18 and legally capable of agreeing. WorldRacer lets users record and publish routes, submit timed attempts, and view leaderboards; it is not a sanctioned race, navigation authority, emergency service, or safety system.
Features, maps, data, eligibility rules, and availability may change. We may maintain, suspend, restrict, or discontinue all or part of the Service. We do not promise uninterrupted, error-free, or universally available operation.
Drive lawfully and set up parked
You must be legally permitted, fit, and insured to drive the vehicle. Obey every speed limit, traffic law, sign, signal, closure, property rule, weather warning, and authority. Never compete with another road user. Public-road times never authorize speeding; use a properly managed closed course for performance driving. Stop whenever conditions, traffic, the vehicle, GPS guidance, or your judgment make continuing unsafe.
Mount and configure the phone before moving. The driver must not touch, read, or adjust it while driving. Spoken or visual cues can be wrong, delayed, or unavailable and must never override safe judgment.
Accounts and fair use
Provide accurate information, protect your credentials, and notify us of unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity through your account. One person may not use multiple accounts to evade allowances or enforcement. Do not manipulate GPS, motion data, devices, attempts, subscriptions, reports, or leaderboards; probe or overload the Service; scrape it at scale; impersonate others; or use it unlawfully.
Only publish routes you may lawfully share. Do not expose private access routes or personal information, or post dangerous, deceptive, hateful, sexual, infringing, or spam content.
Licences and ownership
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app and Service. WorldRacer software, branding, design, and service content remain ours or our licensors’. You may not copy, sell, reverse engineer except where law permits, remove notices, or create an unauthorized competing service from our systems.
You keep ownership of content you submit. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, adapt for technical display, distribute, moderate, and publicly show that content as needed to operate and promote the Service. This licence ends when content is deleted except for cached copies, legal retention, safety records, and content others have lawfully shared.
Risk, disclaimers, and liability
Driving is inherently risky. You choose whether, where, and how to drive and remain solely responsible for the vehicle, route, permissions, passengers, insurance, compliance, and consequences. Map, GPS, motion, timing, safety, traffic, and leaderboard data may be inaccurate or incomplete. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without implied warranties.
Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Otherwise, [Operator legal name not configured] is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, loss of data or profits, vehicle damage, penalties, or injury arising from unsafe or unlawful use. Our aggregate liability relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us through Apple in the preceding 12 months or EUR 100.
Moderation and termination
We may reject or invalidate attempts, remove tracks, limit features, suspend or terminate accounts, preserve evidence, and cooperate with authorities where reasonably necessary for safety, fraud, abuse, legal compliance, or enforcement. We may act immediately for urgent risk and provide notice or appeal where appropriate. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time; provisions that by nature should survive—including licences already exercised, records, disclaimers, liability limits, and disputes—continue.
Changes, law, disputes, and contact
We may update these Terms prospectively. Material changes will receive reasonable notice; continued use after their effective date means acceptance where permitted. These Terms are governed by [Governing law not configured], excluding conflict-of-law rules. Courts in [Legal venue not configured] have jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law gives you another forum or protection. Before filing a claim, contact us and allow 30 days for an informal resolution. If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder continues; delay enforcing a right is not a waiver.
